The second, revised edition of a rare book about Carlsbad (Karlsbad; Karlovy Vary), a world-famous spa town; written by the physician and balneologist David Becher (1725-1792). The title page is decorated with an allegorical illustration; the volume contains four supplements: a portrait (engraving) of David Becher on the frontispiece and a complete set of three fold-out plans (engravings) of the town and baths.
